My tips for a great summer vacation this year, with rising gas prices and a questionable economy are:
1) Stay close to home. Face it- everyone “escapes” during the summer; which is why prices are high. Explore locally.
2) Cut a day off the end of your trip. Turn a 7 day trip into 5. It will give you time to relax and get ready to go back to work. There’s nothing like getting back from a vacation and needing another one to recover.
3) Try camping. Camping spots can cost as little as $10 per night and you’re sure to know someone with camping gear if you don;t have any.
4) “Get away” to a local resort. Order vacation info and experience your area like a tourist.
